WHILE THEY ARE SAYING PEACE AND SAFETY
By Dan Luehrs
“While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
People want to know when the abomination of desolation is going to take place. Only God can answer that. I do believe in the mercy and grace of God to withhold His hand of judgment, if we will repent now, as the people of Jonah’s day did under his preaching. I also believe that, tragically, many people have hardened their hearts beyond repentance. The book of Revelation speaks of a people that would not repent, no matter what was happening to or around them.
The Holy Spirit has given me one piece to the puzzle, as to the time frame of when this is to happen. “While they, (those in the Church) are saying peace and safety.” Notice the word “WHILE,” or at the time they are saying peace and safety, “SUDDENLY” destruction will come! There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, it just will happen as it is written in Scripture. We are living in such a time when this is being spoken of in the Church.
Before we can go on any further, we must understand who really is saying, "peace and safety" here. Was Paul speaking about the world saying this, or was he really speaking about the Church? It is very important for us not to miss this. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6, “For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.” Notice, very clearly he says that we are not of the night. We do not live in sin as the world does, for they are living in the darkness of the evil one, the devil. He goes on to say we do not sleep as the others do. Sinners that have never been born again are not sleeping, they are dead in their sins; they have never been awakened to life in Jesus. “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). But one who is asleep has been awakened to life through Jesus Christ, and has chosen to "fall asleep," meaning, they have chosen to live a life of sin and darkness with the world rather than to pay the price of staying awake. It’s only natural to sleep in the darkness, but we are not to live natural lives. We are to stay awake and live supernatural lives, living above this sin filled world.
The Church has been saying “peace and safety” now for about 170 years. Preachers of today are no different than they were in Ezekiel's and Jeremiah’s day saying, "PEACE, PEACE!"
"It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, 'Peace!' when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash, so tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out. Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, 'Where is the plaster with which you plastered it? Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath. So I shall tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. And you will know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 13:10-14).
Thus says the LORD of hosts, "do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; they speak a vision of their own imagination, not from the mouth of the LORD. They keep saying to those who despise Me, 'the LORD has said, "you will have peace"'; and as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, they say, 'calamity will not come upon you. But who has stood in the council of the LORD, that he should see and hear His word? Who has given heed to His word and listened? Behold, the storm of the LORD has gone forth in wrath, even a whirling tempest; it will swirl down on the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart; in the last days you will clearly understand it. I did not send these prophets, but they ran. I did not speak to them, but they prophesied. But if they had stood in My council, then they would have announced My words to My people, and would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds” (Jeremiah 23:16-22).
Very clearly God’s word says there will be people saying "peace and safety" just before the Day of the Lord comes. “While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them…” The Day of the Lord is both awesome and terrifying. It will be great for those walking in uprightness, but terrible for the unbeliever and disobedient Christian.
How is the Church saying “peace and safety?” They say, “The Rapture is going to take us out of here!” Preachers are telling their people, “You don’t have to worry about the tribulation period, we’re getting out of here on the first load!” They say, “We will not have to see any hardships before Jesus comes, because we have peace and safety in God, no matter what!” Many churches have adopted a saying, “Once saved always saved.” They say, “It doesn’t matter how we’re living, we’re going up!” These are the lies the false prophets were saying in Ezekiel's and Jeremiah’s day. But God says, “if they had stood in My council, Then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds” (Jeremiah 23:22). Many preachers will not speak out against sin, fearing they will lose their jobs.
I do not see the "catching away" as us escaping from the earth because of the Antichrist, but that we have finished Christ's work on the earth. “But He (Jesus), having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet” (Hebrews 10:12-13). When He comes in all His glory, we will receive our rewards from Him as we are gathered together unto Him. "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done” (Revelation 22:12). But this will only happen after the Church has been purified in the times of great sorrows, so that she might be without spot or wrinkle.
The rapture theory was not found in the Church until the 1830’s. It came about when a young Scottish girl named Margaret McDonald had a dream about many Christians leaving the earth when Jesus returns, before the tribulation. It was from this vision that the modern rapture theory was taught. It was taught to the Church through Dr. Scofield and his Scofield Study Bible. Many Chinese people were taught this before the Communists took over China. At that time many Chinese Christians died because of their faith and many fell away from the faith because they were offended at God because He did not rapture them out as they we taught. And so it will happen again. Jesus said in Matthew 24:8-10 that many would be offended and fall away in the time of sorrows to come.
WHAT SHOULD THE CHURCH BE TEACHING?
"You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the LORD” (Ezekiel 13:5).
God is saying that the preachers should have prepared the Church to stand in the day of battle against the forces of darkness, rather than planning to escape the great end time battle. This end time battle is what we have been called to! “The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet" (Psalms 110:1). Jesus is about to put His enemies under the Church's feet. Why would He take us out now? A general does not train his troops for battle then take them home right before they fight. We have been called to take the Promised Land, even as Joshua and Caleb did. The pattern is all in the Old Testament. We must read these writings with prophetic insight and see that God has a much greater plan then we could even imagine. “Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13). God wants us to be able to stand in the evil day that is coming and not fall away into darkness, but to stand upon and for truth!
Our wall of protection is the word of God. If the preachers do not prepare the people by getting them founded on the word, there will be nothing but lies and deceptions. The truth will cause them to stand in the floods that are coming to the earth.
God’s wrath will burn against all preachers and their false doctrines of escapism, for they have not prepared His people for the day of battle. God will tear down their walls of false doctrine Himself!
"So I shall tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. And you will know that I am the LORD. "Thus I shall spend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I shall say to you, The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone, along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,' declares the Lord GOD” (Ezekiel 13:14-16).
SUDDEN BIRTH PAINS
Paul likens the day of the Lord as to a woman in childbirth. Many of us have seen TV shows or commercials depicting a woman going into labor and her husband going wild about the house, totally unprepared for her to go to the hospital.
“While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief” (1 Thessalonians 5:3-4).
In Revelation 12:2-5, a woman is giving birth. This woman is the Church of the end of the age that is about to give birth to a man-child. “And she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.” Jesus said very clearly, in Matthew 24:8, that the last day's Church would be like a woman in childbirth, “But these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.” Without severe travail and contractions, a child could never be born in the natural, for a woman could never push hard enough to get the baby out. So it is in the spirit world. For this man-child to be delivered, great pangs shall come on the Church to give delivery.
Right now, we are only in the beginning stages of labor: wars, earthquakes, hurricanes, shootings in schools and churches, Christians being shot, church buildings being burned and bombed. Even some satanic rock and roll groups are telling their fans to kill Christians! Do you see the birth pangs already taking place? Jesus said when we see these things coming to pass we are to look up, get ready, and get prepared for our day of redemption!
The great tribulation period is a time of great sorrows that will come on the Church to birth the manifested sons of God. (See Romans 8:19-23). Every time great sorrows come on a people, it is birthing new life forth. For instance, when the Jewish nation was in bondage to the king of Egypt, through this tribulation they were brought into their own land, flowing with milk and honey. How about when Hitler had six million Jews killed this last century? This brought Israel back to their Promised Land after 2000 years. The Great Depression of the United States birthed the greatest country that the world has ever known. I could go on and on with examples. Even in our own personal lives, our hardest years actually birth great advancement in our spiritual lives. We must understand this or we will be offended and fall away in the times that we are entering into. Hang on to Jesus! He is our only Rock of safety and deliverance in and through it. Jesus warned His disciples that they were going to experience great sorrows and that they were not to be offended at their sufferings. If they were faithful through it, they would come out of it with joy unspeakable. Their sorrows brought resurrection power to them on the day of Pentecost. And now, great power will be brought to the faithful on the Day of the Lord!
“Jesus knew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, "Are you deliberating together about this, that I said, 'A little while, and you will not behold Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me'? "Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned to joy. "Whenever a woman is in travail she has sorrow, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she remembers the anguish no more, for joy that a child has been born into the world. "Therefore you too now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one can take your joy away from you” (John 16:19-22).
Jesus very clearly told His disciples that when we begin to see these signs, "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name” (Matthew 24:9). This has not yet come to pass. Notice He said “THEN” they will “DELIVER YOU TO TRIBULATION;" meaning, a time of great sorrows and persecution is coming to the Church for birthing. He is speaking to believers, not Jewish unbelievers! "But he who endures to the end of the tribulation shall be saved" (Verse 13).
Paul received much New Testament revelation. We must understand that he did not receive it out of thin air, but from the Holy Spirit, the Old Testament Law and the Prophets. He said in Acts 26:22, "… I stand this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place.” We must get all our revelation from the Bible or we will run amuck and possibly be lost forever. If I am teaching from many Bible verses why do you not believe me? Many times, tradition gets in the way of us receiving truth from God. We must stay open and faithful to His Spirit and the word if we are going to go on into maturity.
Let’s look to the Old Testament book of Isaiah to learn more about this birthing of the man-child or the apostolic authority coming to the Church.
"Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy. “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. "Shall I bring to the point of birth, and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?" says your God. "Be joyful with Jerusalem and rejoice for her, all you who love her; be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her” (Isaiah 66:7-10).
Listen to what the Word is saying. This has never been seen before; something is about to take place and a new nation shall be birthed in one day! I believe this nation to be the Kingdom of God that Daniel prophesied, long ago, that shall never be destroyed.
"And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever” (Daniel 2:44).
“Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him” (Daniel 7:27).
You might be asking the question, “If you say the Church has to go through tribulation and birthing before she receives the authority of God, why does it say, “before she travailed she brought forth?” We must understand that the Bible is talking about two women in the book of Revelation. One is a bride and the other is a harlot. Those who have been faithful in the sufferings of Christ and are following the Lamb wherever He goes will not have to be here for the Tribulation to purify them because they have already obeyed the Lamb and He has purified them. We will go though the Tribulation, but we will not be here for the Tribulation. Remember the first three and one half years of tribulation is for the Church to be purified. This is why many faithful Christians are going through great testing now, so that they can receive power and authority later.
“As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.” According to this verse, when sudden destruction hits the Church the faithful will be "caught up" to where He is in the Spirit, to the authority of God. A throne means, “authority.” This is what Revelation 12:5, 10, means, for us to be caught up to the throne. “And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne… “And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come…” Be joyful and be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her. Why? This is the greatest day for the faithful Church!
“So then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober… But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation” (1 Thessalonians 5:6,8).
We are to be ever filled with the Holy Spirit. We can drink of the new wine every day by spending time in the Holy Spirit’s presence. This will give us the strength to go on each day with Him. If we ever find ourselves walking in defeat and depression, it's because we have chosen to drink from these spirits rather than the Holy Spirit. When we are drinking of the Holy Spirit, we will be walking down the straight and narrow path of righteousness, peace, and joy. If we are not walking in this, we are walking in deception! “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).
In Acts 2:4, “… They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.” That is, they were filled with the new wine of the Spirit, until they were under the influence or the control of the Holy Spirit. When someone is drunk with alcohol or high on drugs we say they are "under the influence" of a substance. So it is with the Holy Spirit! But His influence will never, never bring depression or defeat in our lives, only overcoming power to live for Him in an ungodly, sin-filled world. Jesus warned us of the dangers of drinking from worldly spirits of these end times.
"Be on guard, that your hearts may not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth” (Luke 21:34-35).
Jesus tells us very clearly that a storm is going to hit the earth and if we are drunk with the spirit of the world, we will be overcome by the world. But, if we are having close fellowship with Him, we will make it through! In 1998 the Lord gave me a dream about these coming storms that I am still receiving revelation from:
I saw myself walking down the stairs of a new home that was unfinished. I went to the phone that was on top of some boxes. I was going to call an intercessor friend of ours when my son just got off the phone with her son. I was amazed to find that she picked up the phone at the same time I did and I didn't even dial out. I began to talk to her about church and outreach ministry. I looked out the patio window and there were great tornadoes on the ground. I saw four large ones and said, "There are tornadoes on the ground, please pray for us!" I ran to the stairs and yelled to my wife and family to get downstairs! They hesitated so I yelled again and they came, but were unconcerned. Then I said, "Where is Joshua?" They told me that he was in the next room. I thought, "Where are we going to hide from this. Where is the safest place?" Then I was led to go under the stairwell, encased in poured cement walls. As we got in there, I noticed an opening in the wall that was for throwing firewood through, with a make-shift wooden door closing it. As I looked outside, I saw another huge tornado on the ground right next to our house. I told my family to "Hurry!" I thought maybe that I would be sucked out.
A lady had the same type of dream in September 1999. She said that God had told her that it was the storms that are about to hit the earth; that we needed to be inside the house to be under God’s protection. Thank God in my dream we were all in the house and protected. We both saw five twisters, which is the number of grace. God’s grace is indeed warning us to prepare now, by getting all the sin out of our lives.
Here is her dream:
She said, I was working very hard to get moved into our new home that we had just purchased. There were contractors coming and going to give us estimates on things that needed to be fixed. There was lot going on. I was trying to clean out the dryer as it had a lot of dead leaves in it. While on the phone with my sister, she told me that there was a storm coming. I told her that I already knew that, I was so busy that what she said really didn't phase me. I saw a dirty old mattress out by my front door, so but went to take it, along with the leaves, out to the end of the driveway for the garbage man to carry off. Before I did, my husband told me, "Be careful! The storm is coming!" I said, "I know, I know..." As I walked outside, I did not look ahead. I looked only to the left of me. That is when I heard the verse about looking neither to the right or to the left, but straight ahead. "I thought to myself, this is such a beautiful day, why does everyone keep talking about this storm?" That is when it hit! I turned to face my path, and there it was, a huge terrible storm. It shook me to my bones. As I looked at it, there came five smaller clouds down from the storm front. I heard the Lord say that this was the hand of the Lord, judgment. I knew that I needed to pray, but I didn't. I couldn't ask for help, as I was totally taken off guard. Even though I had been warned, I still wasn't ready for this. I knew that something would happen to me if the clouds passed over me. I knew that I needed to be inside, but I just couldn't pick myself up off the ground. I heard in my spirit, "Passover." Those who would be inside and under the covering would be safe. I have never in my life felt the most trembling presence of God. I truly felt the fear of the Lord.
When I awoke, I asked God what all of this meant. He showed me that I represented many Christians today. They are so busy cleaning house and caught up in dead works that they will be totally caught off guard and unprepared for what is about to take place. It will be an awesome time of the Lord. His judgment is about to come. And we need to be under His covering, if we are going to get through it. Many will be so awestruck, that they will be spiritually paralyzed. They will be devastated. We need to pray for their protection and mercy, as they will be unable to pray for themselves. It will be a time like never before. But God has made a way for His people, if we will listen and take heed to His words.
“Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they shall not reach him” (Psalms 32:6).
WAKE UP, CHRISTIANS! Tornado sirens are going off!
“For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness” (1 Thessalonians 5:5).
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
If Jesus said we are the light of the world, then we are! But what does this really mean? To understand this we must understand the character of light and darkness. Darkness can never overcome light unless the light is put out. But without light there is only darkness. Even though this is true, light does not have to struggle against darkness; darkness must flee, for this is the law of God. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5). If you have ever been in a dark cave and they turn out the lights, you cannot see your hand in front of your face. But when they light a match, it illuminates the whole cave. This is exactly what Jesus does in us when we are born again. We, too, will illuminate the world with His light that lives in darkness of sin. It was prophesied of Jesus, "Because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the sunrise from on high shall visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace" (Luke 1:78-79). Paul the Apostle said of Jesus; “For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Jesus Christ came to bring eternal life and light to every person that will receive Him as Savior and Lord. “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:4,12). If we are walking in darkness, we must turn from our sin now before it’s too late, or we will have lost all chances of receiving the light of the truth.
THE DAY OF THE LORD
For about six thousand years we have been living with day and night on the earth. As it is in the natural, so is it in the spirit realm, first the natural, then the spiritual. On the earth there is both light and darkness at the same time. One place it is day and another place it is night. That’s just how it is in the spirit world on the earth. We live between light and darkness at all times in the spirit. It’s literally living between heaven and hell on earth at the same time. We can choose every day which world we will live in by our emotional reactions to each new day. If we choose to live in Satan’s lies, we will live on the dark side of life. We will live in depression, fear, unrest, and bitterness for this is what Satan’s domain is. But, if we choose to walk in the light, even as He is in the light, we will have the peace and joy of God. 1 John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
The Day of the Lord is coming at a time when we think not, and in a way we think not. We must be ready at all times. “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2). "We must work the works of Him who sent Me, as long as it is day; night is coming, when no man can work” (John 9:4). It’s coming at the darkest hour on earth. When no man can work, but GOD CAN work through us! "Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. "For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you” (Isaiah 60:1-2).
The Day of the Lord is just what it says, A DAY! The daylight will come in the midst of the greatest darkness the earth has ever known since Satan was cast out of the third heaven and God had to recreate it for us to live here. Do you see it? Satan again will be cast to the earth from the second heaven that he stole from Adam, and the demonic powers will be loosed from the pit of hell.
“And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Revelation 12:9).
"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. And he opened the bottomless pit; and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit” (Revelation 9:1-2).
The Day of the Lord is darkness for a disobedient people, “Alas, you who are longing for the day of the LORD, for what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light” (Amos 5:18). But it will be a day of light for the faithful people of God. “Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; surely it is near, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn is spread over the mountains, so there is a great and mighty people; there has never been anything like it, nor will there be again after it to the years of many generations” (Joel 2:1).
Paul tells us in Romans 13:12 that the time for living in sin is almost over and the time for the day is near. “The night is almost gone, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” Let us press on into the light of God's Word, for when everything else in the world fails we will find that: “Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path” (Psalms 119:105). Amen!
In October of 1991, I was driving home in my car, beholding one of the most beautiful sunsets I had ever seen. As I was worshipping the Lord for His goodness, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me clearly and said, “I am going to open a door for you and I want you to go through it.” Then He said, “You will not see many more sunsets like this before My coming.” When you first hear a word like that you begin to wonder, "Did God really say that, or was that just me?" That night, I went home and about nine o’clock, I received a phone call. It was from a board member of a church out in South Dakota, asking me if I was interested in pastoring their church. To make a long story short, I spent the next five years in that church. That night I knew what I had heard that day was from the Lord.
Now about the sunset and the coming of the Lord; we must remember that when God says He’s coming, it’s not always the way we think. Many people picture in their minds the rapture. But as I said before, this could be a great visitation of the Lord through His Spirit. We must be open to the Holy Spirit’s ways and not always put Him in a box of our imaginations.
One day my wife took a picture for me of one of the most beautiful sunsets that I have ever seen. I had it blown up and framed to remind me of what the Lord had spoken to me. As I was looking at this picture one day, the Lord again spoke to me and said, “You’re thinking about the sunset incorrectly. What I am trying to show you is that the time is coming when there shall not be a mixture of light and darkness. For this is what a sunset is, a mixture of light and darkness. There shall be spiritual darkness for those who choose it and there shall be spiritual light for those who receive it and walk in it, but no more mixture!”
Let me explain it this way. In Matthew 13, Jesus gives a teaching about the wheat and the tares being sown in the Church. They were both sown into a field and the man that owned it told the workers to let them grow together until the harvest; then they would be separated. We are coming to a time when all that is sown shall be reaped, whether good or bad. All that is evil shall become as dark as Satan, himself, and all that is good shall became as Jesus. In Revelation 14:14-20, two ripened harvests are on the earth: One good harvest for His keeping and one wicked harvest for His wrath. Jesus reaps the good harvest first, then has the angels reap the wicked harvest into the great winepress of the wrath of God. We are now at the end of the age and the harvests are ripe. Which harvest will you be of? Let us turn to God with all our heart and hate evil with a perfect hatred the way God does. For because of this evil the wrath of God will come. Let us flee from it!
