SEEING THE GLORIOUS CHRIST IN HIS BODY

By Dan Luehrs

“IF YOU KNEW!”

Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."  John 4:10 (NASU)

For years I have sought the Lord for the full revelation of Jesus Christ and as to what it all means for us. I now am starting to have some understanding as to how we receive the revelation of Jesus Christ in our heart. It is so simple and yet profound because we see it most weeks, yet we do not comprehend it. If we just knew what the gift of God is right before us, this how many things are, the answer is right in front of our face, but we knew it not!

Just as the woman at the well was spiritually blind from seeing who the Lord was, so is the church blinded by our own veils of sin, which is based in pride and selfishness from seeing what is right in front of our faces because we will not humble ourselves before the Lord or one another. The Lord God was standing right in front of the woman at the well, think of it, the very Creator of the universe and all she could see was a man talking about natural water to drink. She like the disciples could not see the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in one man right before her. Just as today most people in the church don’t see Jesus in us and neither do we see Christ in most Christians. Yet it was there at the well He offered her the greatest gift, spiritual living water from heaven where she would never have to thirst again for anything of the world, but only to thirst for the true spiritual drink of living water from God. What a gift we would say was offered! Still most believers in Jesus spend little time seeking His presence which is the life giving water to sustain us with life, joy, peace, and love in these troubled times.

If you knew that you are called to shine forth the glory [essence] of God’s nature in this present darkness and for eternity. How much different would you live your day to day life with great expectation and purpose for your future? Believe the word of God, YOU are called to shine forth now with the light of God’s glory! “Having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” Rev 21:11 (NKJV)

WHERE IS JESUS UNVEILED?

The Revelation [the unveiling] of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants. Rev 1:1 (NASU)

So that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation [the unveiling] of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 1:7 NASU

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation [the unveiling] of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13 NASU

The Father wants to reveal or unveil the Son of God to us, He wants us to see Jesus clearly, but we must first be willing to come low enough with a spirit of humility and teachableness for us to receive from one another. For that is where Christ is hidden and that is where He will be revealed from His body. Is that not where our personality is revealed from, our own physical body? Why yes and so will Jesus be! When we got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit was it not God using the body of Christ to show us these glorious riches of truth? “…Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Col 1:27 (NASU) When we share the reality of Christ within us the glory of God shines from us into others that are listening to our words. Yes, God will use children, women, and different Christian groups that are not like us and may even rub us the wrong way but this can be Jesus coming to us in a different form than we are used to. God wants us to see Jesus inside of His body where He is now hidden from all unseeing spiritual eyes. Pray that God may open our eyes to see Him more and more in each other.

One night after meeting with the brethren I decided to linger in the presence of the Lord a little longer. I received a vision that I was a bride with a veil over my face. Then Jesus took the veil and pulled it up and back over my head. He then said, “You will now be able to see Me better in My bride. [meaning His church]. I have often wondered why a bride wore a veil and now I know. In the spirit we all wear veils, meaning sin and selfishness that we hide behind, veiling us from seeing the Master in others because we might think we are better than them. This veil of pride and prejudice hides us from seeing the Lord in His people where He is now on earth. We must continually look for Him in one another and honor Him if we are going to see Him openly.

In order for us to see Him in one another we must be able to speak to each other openly from the heart. Not fearing what someone may think of us, but in love receiving each other as if they are a part of our own bodies. Because they are! This will not come about unless we have faith to believe what we are seeing and speaking out of the spirit realm that is real and is true to the word of God.

We must find those who we can come into true unity of the Spirit with, it maybe two or three at first, but that’s all is needed because Jesus said that’s all it would take for Him to come into the midst of us. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matt 18:20 (NASU)

God is wanting to reveal Himself to us in our prayer closet, then He wants us to bring the revelation that we have of Him to our group meeting and let others receive of what God has given to us. As each of us shares what we have received from the Father all the pieces will come together for us to see the Father as a beautiful mosaic in our midst.

“What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation.” 1 Cor 14:26 (NASU)

We are encouraged to seek God for the edification of one another. This is why the body of Christ is so weak, because they look to one man in the pulpit to have their food for them rather than getting their manna straight from the source-God. The fellow shipping of the saints is the life blood of the church, yet few Christians take the time to get to know the other parts of the body. Thus the body is sickly and not functioning as a healthy body. We must come together in the love of the Spirit to receive the full revelation of Jesus Christ by beholding Him in the brethren.

GOD IS BUILDING A TEMPLE WITH MANY

"You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.” 1 Kings 5:3 (NASU)

The Lord is going to unveil Himself through a body of believers that are a spiritual temple of the living God. A temple is something that is built out of stone to be permanent, it’s not built to just last a few years like the tent tabernacle which God had Moses build in the wilderness. We now physically live in a body that the Bible calls a tent that will one day pass away, but soon we will receive our glorified body which the Bible calls a temple because it will never pass away. In this new temple we will be joined together as living precious stones with the rest of the body of Christ to become the temple of the living God where He will manifest Himself through to change the world. Just as God the Father lives His life through God the Son, so shall God the Son live His life through the many member temple that has become one body with Jesus being the Head.

Before Solomon could build and finish the temple of God, David his father had to fight and finish the battles that the children of Israel had not finished from the time they left Egypt. David was a great man of war from his youth because he knew how to hear from God and to always fight God’s battle through presence of the Lord. David found that the Ark of God’s presence was the key to winning all his battles, so David set up a tent of meetings on Mount Zion and placed the Ark in it to have twenty-four hours of worship to the Lord. David knew his success as a leader came from the presence of God and he knew how to attract the presence through worship. He knew that worship would destroy all the works and plans of the enemy. Jesus our great warrior personally defeated the enemy hands down, He is now waiting for His body to defeat the enemy so that the reign of Solomon, which is the kingdom of peace to come to earth through the kingdom of God. Jesus is wanting us to win every battle through the power of the Holy Spirit knowing that the Lord, the great overcomer lives in us and will defeat the enemy if we will appropriate His life to be lived through us.

But He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. Heb 10:12-13 (NASU)

Sin, shame, and guilt have been defeated so we do not have to live under the condemnation of the flesh and the devil because we live under the blood of Jesus every day. David fought a physical war with an enemy that wanted to kill him, he did not know that he was really fighting a spiritual battle with the devil. Most of us do not have people that are trying to kill us, but we do know that we are in a spiritual battle every day. Some days are better than others in our battle but as long as we do not quit we win!

Solomon did not fight many battles with the enemy but walked in peace and prosperity that David his father had prepared ahead of him. Even to the point of setting aside the provision for the temple so that it would not take so long to finish it. Our King has prepare ahead for us.  “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:3 (NASU) Just as Solomon walked into the  blessing so will we if we do not give up and despair in the battles we are facing because great grace is coming to defeat all the Lord’s enemies in our life. Then we will bring others into the kingdom of peace with ease.

GLORY FILLS THE TEMPLE

It happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord. 1 Kings 8:10-11 (NASU)

When the ark of God’s presence was placed in the Holy of Holies the glory of the Lord filled Solomon’s new temple, signifying to us that the work of the flesh of man is over in His house. Now the glory of God will move in and through His people to change us into His image and then the earth itself will be changed with the power of God working through us. The glory of God fell on the Feast of Tabernacles when they dedicated the temple. Again I believe this is signifying a pattern of what God is about to do in our day. God is looking for a pluralistic or corporate people who will humble themselves as one man under the mighty hand of the Holy Spirit so that only God will be glorified. Pluralism means: [the holding of two or more offices or positions at the same time.] They will move as one man with Jesus as the Head of His Body, bring to fulfillment all of His feasts of the Old Testament in one people.

God has fulfilled His other feast days with Jesus our Passover Lamb being sacrificed on the day of Passover and the Feast of Pentecost being fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost fifty days later. So why would not God fulfill the Feast of Tabernacle’s on that same day? He will because He is a God who puts His word above His name.

It is very interesting to note that today as I write this is the Feast of Tabernacles 2015. Today is also a super blood moon day, they also call this a Jubilee Shmita year on the Jewish calendar. So whether anything happens today or not, we can surely expect God to move somewhere soon and why not right where you are?

ONE SPIRIT IN CHRIST

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1 Cor 12:13 (NASU)

We cannot go where we need to go as the body of Christ unless we come together as one man in Christ. This will take great discipline, humility, and maturity on our part to become this, yet the church has not, nor will ever pull this great miracle of unity off by its self. It will take a people that have been crushed through life’s trials and tribulations to become what God has called them to. It will take a supernatural work of the grace and the love of the Holy Spirit, this is now God’s kairos time for us to come together in the Spirit as one new man. Even those who are already in heaven know that they cannot come together as one without us. Yet most of the church today somehow seems to think they can stand as monuments of days passed religions and they alone can bring the kingdom of God to earth through their methods. We must lay our petty differing’s aside and become the one Man-Christ Jesus to a hurting world around us.

Not one of these people, even though their lives of faith were exemplary, got their hands on what was promised. God had a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours. Hebrews 11:39-40, (The Message Bible)

Let me finish this chapter with a dream I had some time back. I was in an auditorium and we were finishing up with a meeting with just a few people. Then it was like I just turned around and the place was filled with people and I saw something strange begin to happen. Without any human leadership at all but only through the workings of the Holy Spirit all the people began uniting into three distinct groups, the groups all changed into a bluish color like that of the sky. No individual faces were seen but only like a bluish canvas all matching. Then all at once they ascended together and formed into one large bluish cape. The image was dazzling and when they turned around for me to see them I could see no one person inside yet they moved as one man. Reminding me of the four living beings that Ezekiel saw coming out of heaven as one man. “And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went.” Ezek 1:12 (NASU)

What I was seeing was the body of Christ taking form in the spirit realm and giving shape to the invisible God of love. We must prepare, we must be ready and not miss our rising! What may look impossible with man, God can and will do through the power of His Spirit. Amen!
